The following tools are used for Facsimile development and testing. If you intend to contribute to the Facsimile project, or build custom versions of Facsimile, then you will need to familiarize yourself with some or all of these tools.

Doxygen C++ code documentation tool.
Eclipse open development platform.
Eclipse CDT C/C++ integrated development environment for Eclipse open development platform.
GCC (GNU compiler collection), including C++ compiler.
International Components for Unicode (ICU) C++ library.
Subversive Subversion plug-in support for Eclipse open development platform.
Subversion version control system.

All these tools are supported on multiple development platforms and are available to download for free.
